Sales Manager: Sales Managers are responsible for profitability in the new and/or used vehicle departments and for customer retention. To achieve this, they must effectively manage sales personnel, have a strong knowledge of the market, and an in-depth understanding of all sales departments' financial data as well as strong customer relations skills. A Boucher Sales Manager is expected to uphold the highest ethical standards in every aspect of the job.
Duties:
1. Hiring and managing consultants, conduct daily sales meetings and sales training.
2. Overseeing standards for the facility and new and/or used vehicles
3. Planning and executing community and partner business promotions.
4. Managing the supply, inventory and marketability of new and/or used vehicles.
5. Reviewing forecasts and profits for your department with the General Manager.
6. Working with the General Manager on advertising plans, sales promotions, staffing needs, lease promotions and compensation plans.
7. Appraising vehicles.
8. Overseeing the productivity and growth of the Internet Sales Team.
9. Attending to customer complaints and driving a high level of customer satisfaction.
10.Issuing demonstration vehicles and ensuring that dealership records are maintained.
Requirements:
1. We prefer sales managers have at least a year in a dealership sales environment, but retail experience in any sales industry merits consideration.
2. Sales managers need to be comfortable managing people. Management personnel require strong communication skills to deal with customers, employees and vendors, as they represent the dealership.
3. Managers are required to maintain the profitability of their department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction.
4. Managers are required to not only understand and keep abreast of the federal, state, and local regulations that affect their operations, but must also comply with these regulations.
5. A valid state sales license is required.
Education: High school diploma or the equivalent is required and a college degree is preferred. A strong background in business, mathematics and computers is also useful.
Salary Range: The average annual earnings of sales managers range from $43,000 to $119,000. Earnings vary depending on experience and the dealership. We pay periodic bonuses and have special incentive programs for exceeding sales quotas.
