BOUCHER DEALERSHIPS DRIVE TO BEAT HUNGER WITH AREA FOOD PANTRIES THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

Greenfield- The 16 Southern Wisconsin Boucher Dealerships have partnered up with several area food pantries to help feed our communities this holiday season. Through an inter-dealership competition, each Boucher dealership will be collecting and donating food to area food pantries in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, Kenosha, Washington, Rock and Dane counties. The drive runs from Thursday, December 03, 2009 through Friday, January 8, 2010.

“A food drive was an easy way for our dealerships to help give back to our communities,” said Patti Brielmaier corporate assistant at the Boucher Automotive Group. “The Boucher’s have certainly lead by example with their spirit of giving in the community and our employees are very excited to be able to share that spirit within their own communities this holiday season,” Brielmaier added.

The overwhelming response from the partner food pantries was of deep gratitude. They all appreciated support from an organization that represents an industry that has been hard hit during this economic downturn. The food pantries that will be receiving donations are Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee, Second Harvest of Madison, ECHO of Janesville, Food Pantry of Waukesha County, Full Shelf Food Pantry of West Bend, Racine County Food Bank and the Salvation Army of Kenosha.

In addition to non-perishable food items that are not close to the expiration date, collection items include: baby items, canned vegetables, cereal, canned fruit and juice, and high-protein main dishes. There will be special donation days such as, Baby Day and Peanut Butter and Jelly Day, collecting some of the most needed items. Cash donations will also be accepted. $1.00 will equal 1 pound of food. The dealership team that donates the most pounds of food will earn a luncheon for all employees.

Donations may be made at any area Boucher Dealership. For a complete list of dealership locations, please refer to www.boucher.com
